BBC Interview with Yogi Bhajan in Anandpur Sahib 1999

Here is an interview with Siri Singh Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa (aka: Yogi Bhajan) done by the BBC news service during the 300th anniversary Vaisakhi celebrations in Anandpur Sahib, India (April 19th 1999). The interviewer asks all kinds of questions relating to him coming to America and why many people became Sikhs.

During this time a large group of Sikhs (my family included) came along together on a "yatra" to Anandpur Sahib. Our group had people from all over the world and had quite an experience.

You can browse through the web journal that I put together back in 1999 for the Baisakhi celebrations in Anandpur Sahib. There are lots of interesting pictures, audio clips, videos and stories of our "Yatra" to meet with the Guru in Anandpur on Baisakhi.

Beautiful Musical Japji Sung by Chardi Kala Jatha

While we are on the topic of Chardi Kala Jatha..... I was over at my brother's house the other night and went into his room and heard an awesome musical Japji Sahib playing. This was a unique musical rendition of Japji Sahib (by CK Jatha) which someone recorded live during the 3 day Japji Sahib course which we had here in Espanola Last year.

There is something about singing Japji that feels so different than just regular recitation. I love the rhythm and pace of it too. I find it very meditative. So, you can listen and download it if you like and hopefully enjoy it like I did.

So, download the audio; Sit up straight so that your spine is not bent. Relax your shoulders. Close your eyes and sing along with the audio (assuming that you know Japji somewhat by heart).
